Joellen Lesesne Obituary

LESESNE, Joellen Portal, Ga - Mrs. Joellen Woodcock Bedenbaugh Lesesne died at her home on Tuesday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Lesesne was born in Bulloch County on October 3, 1940. She was the wife of Mahon D. Bedenbaugh until his death in 1987. She lived in Savannah, Jacksonville and Columbia, SC for over 32 years. In 1999 she returned home with husband Wayne Lesesne. Mrs. Lesesne is predeceased by her first husband, Mahon (Sam) Bedenbaugh, parents, Sarah Ruth Parrish and Leroy Woodcock, and mother in law, Ella Mae Lesesne. Survivors include her husband, Wayne B. Lesesne, Sr., two sons, Roy W. Bedenbaugh, and Michael Duane Bedenbaugh, daughter, Renee B. Baecker, stepsons, Wayne Lesesne, Jr., Benjamin H. Lesesne and Marcus W. Lesesne, all of West Columbia, SC; grandsons, Wayne Lesesne, III, Branden Lesesne, Michael Bedenbaugh, Jr. and Porter Lesesne; granddaughters, Amanda Bedenbaugh Hatcher, Taylor Nichole Baecker, Olivia Dubose Bedenbaugh, all of Lexington and Columbia, SC and two great-granddaughters. Funeral services for Mrs. Lesesne will be held Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Reverend Waldo Woodcock and Reverend James Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC with Reverend Waldo Woodcock, Reverend James N. Huggins and Reverend Ernest Barnes officiating. The family request that memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
