Our class was your first class,out in the portable at KES. You sang "Mrs. Jones you've got a lovely daughter" to me. Pretty powerful words to a 6th grader who was told constantly how ugly she was at home. I'm 57 years old now, and I will never forget you...

Teresa, I am so sad to learn about Joel's death - Uncle Joel and I had a lot of good times together as we were about the same age (I'm a bit older). No one let me know or I would have been at the funeral. I know your hearts are heavy and I am keeping you all in my prayers. Had not seen you in a while but tried to keep up with you. Praying that God will strengthen you in this difficult time and rejoicing in the message of Easter. Love to all of your family.

Theresa and family, may God give each of you the strength to get through this dark hour. You never, ever get over such a loss, you just manage to get through it. Mr. Strickland was a wonderful godly man. I am deeply sorry to learn of his passing. He was one of our favorite patients. He always had a smile on his face,always upbeat. Teresa, William, Mandy, and Katie,
Gerry and and I and our boys want to let you know how sorry we are about Joel's death. You have lost a wonderful husband and father. Being new to the Lord family I have heard many stories and witnessed many moments of Joel's thoughtfulness and love. Gerry told me he took he and William to see the Star Wars Movie when it first came out in the 70's and he bought Gerry his first Star Wars figure. I have witnessed his neighborliness in his sharing of his cakes which were so good! He was a sweet, gentle spirit and he will be missed.

Mr. Strickland was one of the nicest men Ive ever known. I am so grateful he was able to share my happiness when I got married by making me the best wedding cake in the world! While it was 62 eggs and countless hours...I know his love was in it.
My deepest condolences to the Strickland family. You all will always be in my prayers...and thank you also Mr. and Mrs. Strickland for giving the world the 3 best children ever! You legacy will always live through them.
