We are sad to hear of Pappy's passing. As a former waitress/cashier at Pappy's he always gave employment or a hot meal to those less fortunate as myself. He was a pillar of the community and Pappy's Resturant is a landmark that shall remain in the hearts of those who live in the area!! God Bless and his family is in our prayers!!

I am so saddened to hear of Pappys passing. We may have been in competition for 9 years but, that never came between our friendship. I know in my heart (as he told me also)That if I ever needed anything he was only a phone call away.I remember back in 1985 when he hired me at Joanns he said Joann you aint gonna work cause you like to party to much...boy did I shock him and he always said " I would have never believed it ". We have had many ,many good memories over the years.I remember he came back from a fishing trip from florida one night and said he had went to a little restaurant and they had a breakfast called a 2x4 and proceeded to tell what it consisted of, I said you need to try that here and lo and behold it was a big hit ...so naturally everyone eles had to follow because it was so popular...he was tickled.I know how hard this is for all of yall because I just went through this last year with my Mom,My heart goes out to you all if there is anything I can do please dont hesitate to call me.He was my TRUE friend. God bless you all

To Pappy's family - My deepest condolences to the family of a man i never personally knew but knew of as an Icon in the North Area. He did way over his fair share of employing people who needed jobs; supplying and serving people some of the best food you could ask for and being a friend to many! To Faye and Family: Our prayers are with you all in this traumatic time.
