Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, 11:00 AM, at Nichols Chapel AME Church; 57 Kennedy Street, Charleston, SC 29403. Interment to follow on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in Beaufort National Cemetery; 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902. In addition to his spouse, Mr. Brown is survived by his children: Mark B. Ellis (Shelley), Joe Brown, Louchetia Simmons, Latoya Ravenel, Joelene Simmons, Joelisa Brown; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, stepchildren: Earlette Smith (Johnny), Kirby Wright (Mary), Earl Wright (Paulette); sisters, Lucy Jones and Carrie Steward a host of nieces and nephews and 2 best friends; Harold "Chicken" and Whaley.
