Joan Weaver Obituary

Joan Weaver MT. PLEASANT - Joan Grier Weaver, 71, of Mt. Pleasant, wife of L. Dean Weaver, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Weaver was born on October 30, 1951 in Williamsburg County, daughter of the late Harvey J. Grier and Dorothy Hanna Grier. She was a graduate of Hemingway High School and member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Weaver was the Controller Chief Financial Officer for L. Dean Weaver Construction. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, L. Dean Weaver of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Chad (Allison) Weaver, Lyniel Weaver and Justin Weaver; grandchildren, Stella Kate Weaver, Preston Weaver, Oakleigh Weaver, Knox Weaver, Taylor Hills and Brooke Narcisi; brothers-in-law, Robert "Bob" (Gail) Weaver of Florence, Maurice (Debbie) Weaver of Myrtle Beach, Marlon Weaver of Pawleys Island and Stewart Weaver of Murrells Inlet. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Grier Miller. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Poston Memorial Cemetery, Pamplico. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Hwy 378 Bypass, Scranton, SC 29591.
