Jimmie Sahlmann Obituary

SAHLMANN, Jimmie GREER, SC - Jimmie Utsey Sahlmann, 88, of 303 Lakecrest Drive, died October 21, 2007. Born in Bamberg, SC, she was a daughter of the late James and Alice Guess Utsey. Mrs. Sahlmann was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and the last survivor of her immediate family. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Alice Schirmer Moody and Barbara Schirmer Laserna and her husband, Armando; two sons, James Carson Sahlmann and Leonard Utsey Sahlmann and his wife, Donnis; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Captain Charles Carr Schirmer and John Carson Sahlmann, a son, John Edward Sahlmann and two grandsons and one great-grandson. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Memorial Park, Charleston, SC, with the Rev. David Caughman officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Park Funerals and Cremations, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC.
