"Billie" Jimmie Ruth Easterling-Lane Chinn N. CHARLESTON - "Billie" Jimmie Ruth Easterling-Lane Chinn, Age 78, of North Charleston peacefully closed her eyes and entered Heaven's Gates on Easter morning March 27, 2016. The celebration of her life and funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Beautiful Carolina Memorial Gardens Chapel, on Rivers Avenue at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in the beautiful blooming Carolina Memorial Park. Family reception to follow burial. Billie was born October 31, 1937 in Dorchester County SC, Daughter of the late James Miles Easterling and the late Lurie Ackerman Easterling. Before her illness she enjoyed sharing life with family and her coworkers of 36 years at the Charleston Air Force Base Commissary. She loved traveling, the outdoors, and bird watching. She is survived by her son James Ricky Lane and his wife, Chellene of Phenix City, Alabama. Special niece-daughter, Sherrie' Taylor Cockerham and her husband, Keenan of Moncks Corner. Daughter she gained by marriage, Danielle Chinn Medlin of Suisun City, California. She loved to share in the lives of her children, 8 beautiful Grandchildren and their families, 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She had 2 lovely siblings who had become her best friends. Herbert Miles Easterling and "Tina" Lois Easterling Elrod both of Goose Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 wonderful years, Master Chief Robert W. Chinn and past president of Charleston's Audubon Society. Her two sons, Jerry Randy Lane and Joseph Ronny Lane and one grandchild, Allen G Barnette. Three sisters, Emma Dell Hyder, Thelma Evans and Louise Taylor.
