Jewell Mikell Obituary

Numbers 6:24 -26. The Lord bless and keep thee. The Lord's face shine upon thee. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace.

To Cousin Addie Miller and the grands of the late Jewell Mikell we extend our heartfelt sympathy. It is a blessing to know that even through the difficult times you are now facing there remains consolation in knowing that Jewell fought a good fight for the Lord, and
is now resting in the arms of Jesus. We want you to know that we will be praying for you and your strength and comfort in the Lord. God bless you.

To the Mikell, Turner, Wright, and extended families I extend my deepest sympathies. Mrs. Jewell's warm and loving smile will be miss but remembered lovingly with her life's lessons. I was blessed to meet Mrs. Jewell as a very young "adult" with a sincere love of hats. Mrs. Jewell realized our connection and I was fortunate to be able to work closely with her for a period of years as one of her hat models. I can still hear her reminding the audiences that, "You do not decorate a hat. You decorate a cake! You trim a hat". Family members please know that Mrs. Jewell has left a beautiful impression on my life and I thank the the Lord that she is now resting with him. God bless you and peace be with you.

To the Mikell family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. Mikell. She was my 5th grade teacher at Simonton Elementary. She touched my life in a very positive way. I remember when she invited me to her house for dinner. As a little girl it was really special when you got to go to a teacher's house! I still remember the navy blue dress, with light blue blouse I wore. So sorry, may God bless and comfort you.

To the Mikell family (Sandra Rogers-Garlington). Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have many found memories of Ms. Jewell. I bought soooo many fabulous hats from her and our conversations were the best; I will cherish all of it! Ms. Jewell was such a beautiful spirited women and she will be missed. Cherish the wonderful memories.

Aunt Jewell,
You being a child of God have made this lost some what bearable for the family. You are with our heavenly Father . We will always love you and miss your beautiful personality. You were a mentor to all whom you came in contact with.

Wow, Words Escapes Me Right Now. I have been very blessed to know a Real Lady and a Person that I came to Admired. My Heart is heavy right now However, I will allways Cherish your Kindness, Warmth and most of all, the Love that was shown to me. Thanks for always checking on me and making me feel like you had 2 Kids @ Shaw University in NC, and not just one.
