Jesus Dumaop Jimenez GOOSE CREEK - Jesus Dumaop Jimenez, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest, at the age of 89, on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Jesus was born on May 4, 1936 to the late Macario Jimenez and the late Marcela Dumaop Jimenez in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines. Mr. Jimenez honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years. Following his military service, he devoted his time to his many passions - cooking, gardening, and working with his hands. He was happiest experimenting in his outdoor kitchen, nurturing his front and backyard gardens, or tinkering in his garage. A devoted animal lover, he cherished his grand-dogs, Ellie Mae and Waylon, and took joy in caring for the stray cats that often found refuge in his garden. He was also a lifelong and faithful member of Iglesia Ni Cristo, Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vivian Reyes Legaspi Jimenez, who faithfully supported him throughout his Navy career and beyond. He also leaves behind three daughters: Jevilyn Aurelio (Manuel) of San Diego, California; Jevivelle Soldner (Stephen) of Summerville, South Carolina; and Zygnerhinda Newberry (Ben) of Charleston, South Carolina. He was the proud grandfather of Zynada, Gabriel, Charity, Jaimie, Emilio, Sydney, Camryn, Eve, Miranda, Harmony, Caleb, grand-dogs, Ellie Mae and Waylon, as well as the great-grandfather of six. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Zynada Jimenez. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel. Interment with military honors will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Beaufort National Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.
