Jessie Ward Obituary

Jessie L. Ward Georgetown - Jessie L. Ward, 80, passed away Friday, October 02, 2015 at Tidelands Hospice House. Born February 22, 1935 in Georgetown, SC, she was the daughter of the late David Gideon Flowers and Mary Caroline Morris Flowers. Mrs. Ward worked at MUSC, Mitchum's Delta Mercantile, and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with family and friends. She was a wonderful cook, famous for her fried catfish. Mrs. Ward attended First Assembly of God and Wayne Methodist. She was a people person who loved everyone but most of all her beloved husband Gerald. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 2PM at Graham Funeral Home. Surviving are: her husband of 39 years, Gerald W. Ward; one brother, Robert "Bobby" Flowers (Alice) of Georgetown; three nieces, Caroline Williamson (Randy) of Pawleys Island, Alicia Gilleland (David) of Georgetown, Julie Moxley (Matt) of Johns Island; three nephews, Steven Flowers, David Flowers, and Jason Ward (Erica), all of Georgetown. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Hospice at 2591 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 4-6pm at Graham Funeral Home.
