Jessie Burrows Obituary

BURROWS, Jessie KINGSTREE, SC - The funeral service for Mr. Jessie James "Mott" Burrows will be held on Saturday, April 12, 208, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Kingstree, SC. Rev. Frank James, pastor, will conduct the religious services. Internment will follow in Burrows Cemetery in Nesmith, SC. DIMERY AND ROGERS FUNERAL HOME, 1100 East Main St., Kingstree, SC, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Burrows, 87, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 7, 2008, in Carolinas Hospital, Florence, SC. He was born on October 1, 1920, in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late Jacob "Jake" Burrows and Daisy Cunningham. Mr. Burrows was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Kingstree, SC, where he was a member of the United Methodist Men. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Sophie Wilson Burrows. Those left to cherish his memory for ever are: one son, Mr. Jessie Burrows, Jr. (Whilliemena) of Kingstree, SC; five grandchildren, Devorah Ann Daye (Keith) Malcom Burrows, both of Baltimore, MD; Don Leroy Burrows (Danita) of Kingstree, SC, Vanessa Stuckey (David) and Veronica Gibson (Darryl) of Baltimore, MD; eight great-grandchildren, Marquies Daye, Candice Daye, George Simmons, Diamond Jessiea Burrows, Morgan Gibson, Darryl Gibson, and Devin Daye all of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Richard Burrows of Baltimore, MD; and Alvis Burrows of Rochester, NY; two sisters, Magelena Sanders, and Burrie Lee Green both of Baltimore, MD; two sisters-in-law, Lida Wilson and Mel Burrows both of Kingstree, SC; one brother-in-law, Bill Scott of Kingstree, SC one special friend Calethea Rivers of Kingstree, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
