Jesse Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON, JESSE Jesse Garman Johnson, 66, of North Charleston, husband of Cassondra K. Johnson, died on March 20, 2007, at a local hospital. Born October 14, 1940, in Roanoke, VA, to the late Calvin Johnson and Ida Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired US Navy Veteran and also retired from the law enforcement. Survivors include; five daughters, Wendelyn Kehl and husband George of Hanahan, Lisa Hartman and husband Kevin of North Charleston, Lorraine Brown and husband Derrick of Hanahan, Juli Frischman and husband Kevin of Gulf Shores, AL., Sherry Brown and husband Joseph of Gulf Shores, one son; Kevin Rowles of Gulf Shores, three sisters; Betty Jones, of Milford Delware, Mary Louise of Ohio, and Mona Leftwich of Roanoke, VA, mother-in-law, Ruby Moore of Charleston, also, included are thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by a brother, James Calvin Johnson, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007, 2PM, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of South Carolina, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29201.
