Jerry Basden Obituary
Tampa, Florida
Graveside service for Jerry Lee Basden, age 71, of Tampa, Fla. (formerly of Decatur), will be Monday, June 9, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Juston Ward officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Jerry Basden passed away on June 1, 2014. Jerry was a native of Decatur, but had been a resident of Tampa for 35 years. He was employed by ConAgra and Singleton Sea Food. He was a giver and a help to many friends and associates. He also loved antiques and beautiful art.
Jerry gave testimony that he knew his new home would be in Heaven. This is the comfort and hope to his family and all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elliott and Helen Basden; and brother Mike.
He is survived by one brother, Rickey Basden (Gaylor); one sister, Shirley Ward (Juston) of Gadsden; a special aunt, Ann Garrett; and several nephews and nieces.
