I grew up with Jerry (Shorty). We spent many Sundays playing together as children. He was my first cousin. His mother Estelle and my mother Lucille were sisters. I haven't seen Shorty since his mother's funeral. I didn't know about Elaine's passing until after the services were held and Shorty had left Rock Hill/Union. I have one sister Alice Faye Bickett Sutton and my name is Diane Bickett Wright. We both live in Rock Hill and my sister Faye heard the news of Shorty's passing from our cousin Janette (Gordon Johnston's daughter). Our mother Lucille resides at a nursing home in York, SC. Faye and I are both so sorry for your loss. Jerry (Shorty) had a full and purposeful life, and I wish we had been able to see each other more than a few occasions as adults. My sister and I both have your family in our thoughts and prayers. Diane B. Wright, 4045 Redwood Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Barbara,
St. Pauls Presbyterian Church is so thankful that God directed Jerry and you to us....you made the transition period delightful...we loved seeing you both every Sunday morning, enjoyed laughing with you, and were especially blessed by the Jerry's sermons. I think I shared with you how one particular sermon impacted me and changed my life...I will be forever thankful. We enjoyed meeting the entire family at church...It was really cool to see the grandchildren crawling all over him during the children's sermons. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you....Jerry would want you to continue laughing and enjoying life for that is surely what he loved to do!

Clark,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the many times when dad would come by and say, "Lets go get a meal and talk". He loved his family and that is a given!
