Jennie Gaitan Gonzales

June 4, 1928 August 10, 2004

Services: Friday, Aug. 13, 10 a.m.

Our Beloved Mother went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2004 with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor Friday, August 13, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at the San Clemente Mission, 1305 Water Street, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd., Bakersfield. Father Ralph will celebrate the Mass and pallbearers will be Johnny Cisneros, Jr., Ricky Franco, Jr., Renee Hernandez, Fernando Onsurez, Sr., Manuel Gaitan, Jr., Jeremy Castro. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Gaitan, Sr., Louie Gaitan, Sr., Jess Gaitan, Sr., David Ojeda, Richard Franco, Sr., John Cisneros, Sr.

A visitation will be held at the church Thursday starting at 5 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

Our mother was preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio and Juanita Gaitan, her daughter, Blanca Franco, two grandsons, Johnny and Edward Gonzales, great-granddaughter, Bianca, her brothers, Frank and Henry Gaitan and sister, Anna Hernandez.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 57 years, Andrew Florez Gonzales; six children and their spouses, Jennie Cisneros and John, Andy Gonzales and Kathy, Blanca Franco and Richard, Edward Gonzales and JoAnn, Johnny Angels, Veronica and partner, Lois; brothers, Louie, Manuel, Jess; sister-in-law, Barbara; her sisters, Socorro, Clara and sister-in-law, Janie and her precious dog, Pretty Boy. Our mother also leaves behind many grandchildren, family members and friends who will miss her love of music, her laughter and loving smile.

She was an inspiration to everyone, especially during her many illnesses. Special thanks to Bakersfield Dialysis and Dr. Baer, Dr. Wong, Dr. Sailei, Gambaro Dialysis, Bakersfield Memorial Hospital 5th Floor staff for their wonderful care and professionalism during our mothers stay. Most importantly Dr. Jennifer Abraham and staff who attended to our mother and shared many laughs together.
