Jeannine Picaut Obituary

Jeannine Manning Picaut, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Charleston, South Carolina, at the age of 64. Born on April 10, 1961, in Yokohama, Japan, Jeannine was the daughter of Wendell and Elizabeth "Bettie" Manning. Throughout her life, she carried with her a sense of compassion, warmth, and commitment to those she loved. Jeannine wore many hats in her lifetime which included: bowling, and baking, but none brought her more joy than her role as a grandmother. She poured her heart into caring for her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where she showed her love by the meals she prepared. Though she worked a variety of jobs over the years, her proudest accomplishment was the life she built with and for her family. Whether she was cheering from the stands, volunteering her time, or simply offering a listening ear, Jeannine was the kind of person who made those around her feel loved and valued. She is survived by her loving children: Crystal Manning and Kenneth Lee Aker, Jr. (Amanda); her grandchildren: Linza Manning and Peyton Secondino; her siblings: Jackie Weekes (Richie), Keith Manning, Kimberly Landgraff, Michael Manning (Ann), and David Manning (Bridgette); her mother, Elizabeth "Bettie" Manning; as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Wendell Manning.
