Jeannette Louise Washburn Papineau MT. PLEASANT - Jeannette Louise Washburn Papineau, 76, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mrs. Papineau was born November 5, 1936 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Alton G. and Mildred Dolan Washburn. She was retired Yeoman with the U.S. Coast Guard, and a former member of the American Legion Post #147 on James Island, SC. She enjoyed following NASCAR, and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Kelly Gow and her husband, Ray of Mount Pleasant, SC; her son, Gregory Paul Papineau and his girlfriend, Kit of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Meghan L. Kelly and her partner, Gavin of Charlotte, NC, Erin S. Kelly of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Patrick J. Kelly of San Diego, CA; and several neices and a nephew. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Papineau's name to the United States Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Fund, Stop 7180, 4200 Wilson Blvd., Suite 610, Arlington, VA 20598-7180.
