Jeanette Harper Obituary

A wonderful step mother who was so smart attentive and articulate. Gifted teacher and magistrate. Loving woman who loved God and her church.

I still talk about Jeanette and her compassionate brilliance. The world is a poorer place for her absence.

She was truly the best person I ever worked for. Love and admire her. Prayers for the family.

I just found out about Jinx and Jim. I AM having trouble finding words..Jinx was too good for this old cruel world--too brilliant, too intense, too talented, too dedicated, too passionate, too idealistic, too caring, too loyal,too courageous...We were good friends since college--drama/English majors--she more philosophical and I, more dramatic--if that is possible. Her great success as a judge was her "drama", her sense of humor, as well as her common sense. We agreed to disagree in politics but in this split world--we remained close. We loved the cursillo movement,the church, our different denominations,our faith, and shared the joys and heartbreaks of our children and grandchildren.And she finished her bppk! I talked to Jim only a few months ago and I am in shock--losing both. With love and sympathy to all the family of both, I will miss Jinx's wonderful cooking, hostessing,our talks, and those special visits to their beautiful home which Jim as well as Jinx made so lovely-in a place they loved, where they lived a full and good life.

Jeanette's life was truly accomplished. She told everyone of her love for God, family and work. We are thankful that we were apart of her life and will cherish many memories.

Jeanette was courageous in so many ways. We knew her as the founder of our Mt. Pleasant Toastmasters Club, but it was lovely to get to know her as an intelligent and compassionate woman who put Christ first. It was an honor to know her and Jim.

My thoughts and paryers are with you.

Jeannette was special in my life through our many years together in a prayer group and at First Scots. I am sure that God has a special place for her in Heaven, as she was such a douvout Christian, lover, giver, and servant of the Lord. May God bring peace to the Harper's extented families. May she be with Jim and Jesus Christ, in serving the Lord in great ways from Heaven. God Bless.

I believe she was the beautiful example of a Southern Belle. Proverbs 31 illustrates Jeanette's kindness, love and generosity to all who knew her.

She was very special to me. I live in Arizona, and we know each other because we were both judges. She always treated me with dignity, respect, and love. She will be missed, but I'm glad that she is reunited with her husband as they walk again together.

I will always remember her helping and asking how she could make things better! She was one of the best!

Memus, is the heartfelt name my step sons called her. Her grandsons my stepsons, my family. My heart felt love goes to her in my prayers, and to her family. She was beautiful inside and out. She welcomed me in to her family with love. A wonderful lady. I will miss you! May you rest in peace and be with God and all of his love. Love you!!!!!!!!

I only knew Mrs Harper for a short time but really enjoyed spending time with her and getting to know her children. She is at peace now but will be missed by so many. My prayers are with your family in this difficult time.

What a fabulous lady and a wonderful teacher - one of my favorite! And a very fair judge. Our community has lost one of its greats.

At last Jeanette is with her Lord whom she loved and her precious Jim. I miss you both and loved sharing in your lives through Toastmaster's and serving Him.

To the extended Mullen and Harper Family. I knew the Judge almost from the time she was appointed. I consider myself a better person for having known her. She will be sorely missed. May God rest her soul.

Rest in Peace Judge Harper I loved working for you in the Magistrate office. She was a great woman and teacher of all things. God speed to your family.

Jinx was my best and long time friend--I will cherish the happy days and evenings we shared always and miss the vibrant happy person she was before Parkinson's disease took over. She was such a brave spirit and always a supportive and loving friend. She is at peace at last for which I am grateful.

Jeanette was a great lady.We served as Judges together for many years and attended the Legal Institute in Nevada together back in the early Nineties.I am sorry to hear of her passing and extend my sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Judge Harper was one of my favorite people in the world and we will be poorer for her absence. My condolences to her family.

Sending my sympathy and prayers to mrs. Harper's family. She was my English teacher at the old wando high school. She was such a sweet person.

We are so saddened that we will not be able to travel to Charleston now. Know that our hearts are with you. We have shared many sweet memories and grand times. God bless you all!

Mrs Mullen was a wonderful woman and I am very sad to hear of her passing... She taught me senior English her very last year of teaching at Wando and was so very good at her job-she made a very incredible impact on me at a time in my life that really mattered! I am also forever impacted in such a positive way by her incredible insightfulness in a court case that she heard and simply did amazing things with. She was simply special ;-)
