NADEAU, JEAN-MARC 1943 - 2025
With heavy hearts, the family of Mr. Jean-Marc Nadeau announces his passing on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the age of 81 years, in Kapuskasing. He passed away peacefully with his devoted wife by his side.

Beloved husband of 55 years to Diane Nadeau (née Rondeau). Cherished father of Lucie, Luc (Charleen), and Raymond (Tawnya). Loving grandfather to Justin, Nathaniel, Kiera, Sebastian, Meghan, Jayda, Brooklyn, Makenah, Paisley, and Emersyn. Jean-Marc will be fondly remembered by his extended family, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Sloan and Suzanne Sloan (née Meloche), Sylvio Nadeau, and by his sisters, Catherine and Michelle.

Jean-Marc lived a life full of joy, laughter, and generosity. A kind soul with a heart full of love, he lit up every room he entered. Remembered by his children for his strong work ethic, he instilled the importance of taking care of your family first and working to provide better for them than you have for yourself. Known for his playful spirit and love of jokes and pranks, he brought smiles wherever he went. His sweet tooth was only matched by his sweet nature he was always ready to share a treat or a laugh. He had a love of board games, puzzles, and Cribbage, lighting up while sitting at the table with Lucie and Justin for games, building a puzzle with Mom, teaching Raymond and Meghan how to play Crib while stealing their unclaimed points to help "teach" them to play better, and building the back deck with his two sons and his grandsons Nathaniel, Sebastian and Justin. He would go on to spend many hours enjoying his evenings under the gazebo, passing time.

He had a deep love for dogs and enjoyed sharing his lap with Buddy and Snowball. He had a passion for travel and the occasional visit to a casino to test his luck. Whether on the road or gathered around a table, Jean-Marc embraced life with curiosity and courage. To know him was to love him and to laugh with him.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 29th at St. Peter's Church, 615 Connolly St, Thunder Bay. Visitation at 9:00 AM with service beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Garden, 3200 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay.

A heartfelt Thank you to the attending First Responders and the Emergency Staff, Nurses, and Doctors at Sensenbrenner Hospital Kapuskasing for their care for both our Dad and our Mom during this time.
