Dear Bob and John,
We were fortuitously brought together as life long friends at birth by our parents. Your parents have always been very special to my family and me. Your mom was always especially loving to my sisters and me and having your family as my family's best friends has always been a great blessing to my life. I will miss your mom and dad as long as I live. They, as you, are as much a part of my family as blood relatives.

Your family and ours have been the closest of friends. Mel knew your mom and dad during their College of Charleston days, and I have known your mom and dad for more than 60 years. We lost a dear friend.
We know you both will dearly miss her.
