To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

No words will probably be able at this time to take away the pain that you are feeling. But you know that the Lord is there to comfort you. I got to know Jaylan and his family through the FDHS marching band. What a special young man. He will be missed by all. May you find comfort in the Lord.

As long as we keep him in our prayers and in our hearts, he could never be forgotten. The same smile that everyone loved so much is a memory that we will hold forever. Never knew Jaylan knew so many people and touched so many people's lives. We all shed tears. We're praying for the family. If we could take it back- we would! Sorry for your loss. He will be missed but we'll continue to keep him alive through our thoughts!

I don't know you; however, my heart aches for you. As a mother, I pray that over time your heart heals and forgives. It doesn't make sense now, but continue to pray; it will. I didn't really know Jaylan. I have heard a lot about him and how wonderful he was. I know God was watching him before he died and I know God does everything for a reason, even if we do not think anything will come out of it except for pain. I know God is watching over all of us and truthfully, no matter how hard it may be, we must except that he is gone but remember the moments we have spent with him.

All i keep hearing is how big his smile was!! Stay strong and keep your head up i know Jaylan is looking down on all of you and smiling.... (God bless Bria and her unborn child what a gift that will be coming into all of your life's) Remember the good times and remember that Jaylan had some great friends at Fort he also left a great impact at the school. I cannot begin to understand what you are going through, but I do understand that God allows painful things to happen in our lives to strenghten our reliance on Him. Hold each other close; hold on to God's hand and hold Jaylan's memory close in your heart.
He was one of the sweetest young men I ever met, and I was so proud that he was KJ's friend. He enriched my son's life as his "little drum brother", and his beautiful smile and manners made him a joy to have around. You can be very proud of the beautiful spirit you cultivated while he was here with us. I will continue to pray for your healing and for your increased faith as you carry on without your young man's physical presence. His spirit will always be with you and God's grace will continue to sustain you. Please call on us for anything; we are here for you.

I remeber you and my children @ the swimming pool one summer in Planters Retreat, I remember telling my daughter that you were such a mannerable young man and had such a joyful smile... My daughter Cecelia valued her friendship with you and I know she will never forget you. I have never met you or Jaylan. I am the Aunt of Randi Chandler and was moved by her grief to write to you. As the mother of a 23 year old son I can only imagine your pain. Although the day seems dark and the burden more than you can bear, know that Jesus cares. He has touched the hearts of people all over the country who are praying for you. I encourage you to hold on and allow God to see you through, as only He can.

We will continue to pray for you through the holidays. JESUS IS still the reason for the season and He is more than able!

I remember when you asked my sister out :)I was right there and I said say yes bria she was just smiling. Then I met you and thought you were the most handsome young man I had ever met. Yu were a lucky boy I saw how much you loved my sister and that made me like you so much yu started to grow on me and adopted you as my lil bro.
