Jasper Hodge Obituary

Jasper C. Hodge AWENDAW - Jasper C. Hodge, 80, of Awendaw, first married to the late Betty Jo Jones Hodge and husband of Kathleen Thomas Hodge, passed away at his home Saturday morning, October 10, 2015. Jasper was born April 11, 1935, in Charleston, a son of Fred Hodge and Annie Caddell Hodge. For over 37 years, he was very dedicated to his work as an Overnight Transportation truck driver. He will be remembered for being a loving husband and father and for being an avid hunter. He was a faithful Christian and Sunday school teacher for 42 years. Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathleen are four sons, Danny Hodge, Jeffrey Hodge, Silas Hodge and his wife, Karen, Jason Hodge and his wife, Tammy; a daughter, Patricia Brinson and her husband, Eddie; two brothers, Fred Hodge, Jr. and Hiram Hodge and his wife, Joyce; a sister, Geneva Hodge; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased his brother, Arthur Hodges. His funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, October 12, 2015, in RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER, at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Awendaw. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel for one hour prior to the service.
