Janis Benson Obituary

BENSON, Janis WALTERBORO - Mrs. Janis Leigh Benson, 54, of 928 Campground Road, Walterboro, died Monday, October 22, 2007, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. A memorial service and gathering of friends to celebrate the life of Janis Benson will be held 1 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, October 27, 2007, from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve David, 446 Fleming Road, Round O. Mrs. Benson was born December 9, 1952, in Shenandoah, Iowa and was a daughter of the late Irvyl and Jean Heard. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Round O and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are: her husband, Mr. John Earl Benson; two daughters, Heather Benson Stone and her husband Sean of Cottageville, and Holly Conway and her husband Brad of Columbia; a step-son, John Michael Benson of Round O; a step-daughter, Traci Fisher of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and a sister, Vivian Williams of Walterboro. There are eight grandchildren, Laura and Nicole Linkous, Shawn and Scott Fisher, Desiree and John Michael Benson, Jr., Victoria Campbell, and Charles Christopher Benson that also survive.
