Janice Weathers Obituary

Janice F. Weathers ST. GEORGE - Janice F. Weathers, formerly of St. George, died on December 14 in Rutherfordton NC. Janice was a resident of Simpsonville, SC, and was employed by Ford Motor Credit Corporation. The daughter of AD and Emily Weathers, Janice was born on November 30, 1948, and was graduated from St. George High School and Winthrop College, and later attended USC for additional studies in biology/botany. She was an accountant with several lumber companies in South Carolina and Florida prior to joining Ford Motor Credit as a Reports Analyst. In addition to her professional interests Janice was an avid collector of plant specimens and enjoyed many other outdoor and nature-based activities. She was pleased to have recently donated her collection of mounted and identified plant specimens to The A. C. Moore Herbarium at USC. Janice was predeceased by her parents and by her sister Doris W. West. She is survived by her brothers David C. Weathers of Holly Hill and Larry W. Weathers of Summerville, and by her sister Linda W. Dudycha (Art) of Rutherfordton NC. In addition, Janice is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Bryant Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Thursday December 16. A memorial service will be held at Bryant Funeral Home on Friday December 17 at 11:00 am, followed by burial at the St. George UDC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Janice's family suggests that the research foundation, "Stand Up 2 Cancer" (1801 W. Olympia Blvd, Pasadena, CA, 91199) would be appropriate for memorials.
