Janet was a teacher from the 1970s to 1996 at Columbia High School in Maplewood NJ. She touched and affected thousands of lives. Janet Hicks was a great teacher and a lovely person, one that I will never forget. I was one of many girls who tried to emulate her, her gifted dancing, wonderful style and self-confidence. She had charisma, and we both admired and liked her. She made a difference in my life and the lives of others.
My heart goes out to her daughter and other family members and loved ones.
