Jane Griffin Obituary

Elizabeth Jane Custer Griffin, 80, of Charleston, SC, passed away on October 8, 2025. She was born on November 2, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, to George W. and Lillie G. Custer. She was raised in Staunton, VA where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Jane is survived by her husband, Carl E. Griffin, Jr. of Charleston, SC, a brother, Wayne W. Custer (Christy) of Lancaster, OH, two sisters, Linda C. Davenport of Millersville, MD, and Dana C. Mason (David) of Roanoke, VA., a nephew and three nieces, and a sister-in-law, Janice Blackley of Mooresville, NC. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 1293 Orange Grove Rd, Charleston, SC 29407 on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's memory to the First Christian Church where she was a long-time member.
