Jane Causey Obituary

CAUSEY, Jane HOLLY HILL - Mrs. Jane Proctor Causey, 74, of Holly Hill, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Holly Hill, with Dr. David Brien and Rev. Earl Behr officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Causey was born in Rocky Mount, NC a daughter of the late E. D. "Dock" Proctor and Hazel Elizabeth Jackson Proctor. She was a former bank loan officer, and taught English to Chinese college students in Taipei, Taiwan. Mrs. Causey was active in Meals on Wheels and was an avid bridge player. She was a founding member of the First Baptist Church of Tehran, Iran and a current member of First Baptist Church, Holly Hill. Surviving are her husband, David S. Causey of the home; sons, David E. Causey of Statesboro, Ga, and Ronald S. Causey of St. Petersburg, Fla.; an adopted daughter, Sherrill Way of Holly Hill; sisters, Carolyn Dugan of Stillwater, Okla.; Mairana Bridges and Lindy Morgan of Tarboro, N.C., and Diane Millwood of Waycross, Ga.; brothers, William Proctor of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Theodore Proctor of Colorado Springs, Col. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at AVINGER FUNERAL HOME.
