Jane Goodman Brown N. CHARLESTON - Jane Goodman Brown, 78, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Her Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, November 11, 2023 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel at 3:30. 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service and after the service. Jane was born April 19, 1945 in Hanahan, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert Daniel Goodman and Annie Lee Edenfield Goodman of Hanahan. Jane started her working career in 1967 with Liberty Life Insurance Company/RBC, where she retired after 40 plus years of service. She loved her family dearly and played a major role in helping raise her grandchildren. She loved going to the beach, but her heart belonged to the mountains of North Carolina, which she visited every chance she got. She was a people person who loved and lived life to its fullest and made many friends along her life's journey. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nell Goodman Arthur of Summerville; brother, Robert Lee Goodman of Hope Mills, NC; husband, Wille (Buddy) Brown of North Charleston; and son, Robert (Bobby) Brown of North Charleston. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Gentry of North Charleston; four grandsons, Ryan Brown of North Charleston, Darryl Gentry (Ashley) of Ladson, Brandon Gentry (Amanda) of North Charleston and Jonathan Brown of Abbeville; six great-grandchildren, Victoria Brown, Cheyenne Dale Coomer, Andi Grace Taylor, Elizabeth Wynn Gentry, Peyton Jane Gentry, and Oakly Marie Gentry; two daughters-in-love, Jane (Doug) Hester of Columbus, NC, and Pamela (Mark) Hazelton of Mount Pleasant.
