James Wells Obituary

Dad,
We will miss you but the thought of you not suffering any longer makes us thank God for His mercy and grace upon you. I am so glad that I was able to spend so much time with you the last several months. We love you Dad! You will always be in our thoughts!!

Papo, i wll never forget all the times you made me laugh and when you called me one of the boys, and when you would hit me over the head with your huge bible! :) i will miss you so much espically at christmas!!

I will miss Poppy. He always made me laugh. I remember when i would climb on his lap and watch wrestling with him. That was so fun!!! I will always love him and never forget him....

I will miss my Poppy very much! He always use to call me Pedro.I never knew why but i guess he knew. I love him very much!!! I will miss his company at family occasions.

Poppy, i miss you very much. I will remember all the good times and all the laughs that we shared.I will never forget how you use to spell my name... (Tora)lol.<3 you are the best great-grandpa!!!!!!

Jim will be missed. He always had something funny to say at church.Jim made many smile and laugh. He loved is family and church family. Prayers to all of you.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family of Jim Wells. Even though he's no longer here he will never be forgotten. The sharing time at the funeral service was evident that you all hold him near and dear in your hearts. We will all miss him here at Landmark Baptist Church.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Your family will remain in our prayers. The Lord will shine his light through this world's sadness.

Papo always fixed me steak on my Birthday! I will always remember the good times we had on the houseboat and all the fishing stories. (especially the turtle) You have made a difference in our lives and we will see you again. We love you Mamo and are praying for you.

Although I hadn't seen Jim or Irene in quite a while I have quite a few memories of him back when I was younger and we attended church together along with my family. He is one of those people that you will always remember. He was always very kind to me. Back in the day when I bought my first car I didn't have a lot of money. My car took it all. He helped me with a new brakes, shocks and springs. I have always appreciated it. May Jim rest in peace. May God comfort Irene and the family as only God can do. Heaven just became even sweeter. God bless you all.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family..We got to be in church once with Bro Wells when his grandson JK brought to him to our church on the hill and his testimony was truly a blessing..We will keep you all close in our thoughts and prayers in the tough days that are to come and hope the wonderful memories you now cherish will bring you much comfort..

I met Jim Wells back in the 70’s, and we became friends, he was a fine figure of a man, and he always had a pleasant smile on his face.

Jack and Josephine, lived on Bushnell, the street behind our house, and Jim’s granddaughters would play with my children, Julie, Kim, and Ted Norrod. I also knew his departed son Larry and went to school with his son-in-law Keith Anderson. But a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then.

My wife Donna and I would often see Jim and his wife Irene in their front yard and would toot as we drove by, and sometimes we would stop to say hello, or give some flower seeds for their garden. That’s when Jim would ask if I was going to church and where.

May God greet Jim at Heaver’s Doors, and give his wife Irene and their family the strength needed until they meet Jim again.

Remember, everybody wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to die. So be ready to depart on God’s calling.

We will miss you, Jim. You always had a smile and a firm handshake waiting each week at church. I will think of you each summer, when I'm out in the garden picking my zucchini!

We will all miss him dearly!! We will definately be sharing lots of houseboat stories and fishing stories with each other to remember. We will always remember . our "coffee" talks with him and Mamo.. We love You and Mamo!

Jim is the reason I started to worship on Wednesday nights. He always made sure to invite my husband and I to come on Wednesdays. He was light for the Lord we serve. When I was first saved I didnt want to leave church or my church family, so Thank you Jim for all your encouragement. We will miss you. Irene you are in our prayers

Although we only knew you a couple of years, you became an inspiration to us both. It was an honor and a privilege to have known you and share a little time with you. We know you are in Heaven celebrating your eternal life with our Heavenly Father, and we will meet again in Glory.

Jim, you were the Father that I never had. I will miss you until we meet again in the Clouds of Glory when Jesus our Lord takes us all home to be with him forever!

JUST A NOTE TO SHARE THAT CHLOE HIS GREAT GREAT GRANDAUGHTER KNOWS THAT HE IS IN HEAVEN OVER DAYTON OHIO WATCHING OVER US. AND THAT SHE WILL MISS HER OLD PAPPA.

we are going to miss him very much and we will remember him always. he was a great grandpa and taught me alot about many different things. he will never be forgotten. the memories of him will live on through me to my children.(brianna, tori, and courtney)
