James Utsey Obituary

James Earl Utsey GREER, SC - James Earl Utsey, 73, died November 10, 2015 at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Charleston, son of the late Francis Marion Utsey, Sr., and Mary Kemmerlin Utsey, he was a graduate of Chicora High School in Charleston, SC, attended Clemson University and Conede Business School. He worked for several Customhouse Brokerages and retired from Michelin where he worked in imports and exports. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Mr. Utsey was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are his wife, Sara McMahan Utsey of the home; one brother, Francis Marion Utsey (Sallye) of Lakeland, FL and two nephews, Francis Marion Utsey, III, "Chip" of Grayson, GA and Alan Scott Utsey (Kathleen) of Charleston, SC. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at Four Holes Baptist Church, 1622 Four Holes Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115, conducted by Rev. Tom McElhaney. The family is at the home.
