My fondest memories of my Dad were when we we in Charleston maybe 1978, we woukd go out to Isle of Palms during the summer months to visit Grandma and Grandpa Herb. They lived on 28th Street on the top floor of a 2 story duplex and would rent out the lower floor to weekly visitors. We would go to the beach. This is where my Dad taught me to body surf and search for sand dollars... as Dad would feel along the sandy bottom with his feet and I would dive down to retrieve them.. we had such fun in those days. As I became a father at around the same age as Dad, I passed on that same experience yo my kids Jett and Hailey on Kiawah search for sand dollars and learning to body surf. I miss my Father and the time we enjoyed will always be treasured in my heart.
