Jim an i were married ,for some years. He loved his music. I first heard Jim sing .I was 16.We had 3 boys . James Orren Smith Gearld Allen Smith Shaun William Smith past away 1998.we were Divorce 2000 But remain close friends. I will always, have a very place in my heart you will be well miss.you are now ,with your son once again.

You will be missed, Jimmy. Your Uncle Terry has so many memories of times spent together with Gary and you as children. We have many great memories of our time spent together with everyone when we lived there. RIH, Nephew.

Yall know him as Jim but it has always been Jimmy to me. I have known Jimmy all my life and he will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. It is because of Jimmy that I play the guitar. From the age of 8 when he showed me my first song until we jamed just two and a half weeks ago, I will always have that bond with both Jimmy and Maria for they are not olny friends but family, that started by their Dad and My Dad many years ago in the Navy in KeyWest all the way to Charleston. Maria and Marlene my prayer for you is to not cry for the loss, but to rejoice for the love that is in your heart for my friend.

Jim you are safe and home with God and all our family residing in his house.You were my brother, my childhood bodyguard and my friend. I will miss you. So many memories of my childhood are wrapped around us together enjoying life good times and bad. Rest in peace my brother you are loved and missed by many. Love forever and always.

Diane and I will miss Jim. Diane has known Jim a lot longer than I have and she often talks about the days of the great band and the wild stories that were lived by Jim and the band. Jim helped me to overcome my stage fright and play my music in front of an audience. I thank you for that Smitty and I am honored to have played some music with you. We will miss you
