If ones life and wealth were to be measured by the lives one touchs or the friends they make...Jimmy Scott was a very rich man. Never have I seen such a huge gathering of people from all walks of life, as I did today....all there to say goodbye to a very special man. Farewells were said to Jimmy today beside the water on Jeremy Creek which he loved. His Trawler the Mary Margaret, which he built himself, sat at anchor just off from where friends and family gathered . There were spiritual songs, solo songs, poems and many stories told that made us laugh even as we cried for the loss we all felt and shared. I have never been to a more perfect rememberance and reflection of a mans life. Jimmy was truely a Man who touched many lives and who will never be forgotten. Prayers to Mary and his family for strength to get through this difficult time..

Mary, Jim, Marg, Hugh and John,
I know there are no words to express my heartfelt sorrow at your loss. Jimmy was a wonderful man who will be missed by all have ever come in contact with him. I have many memories of listening to Jimmy and Daddy (Farrell) whether on the radio or at the kitchen table and just loving to listen to them get going on whatever the story line was at the time. He was such a gentle man despite his size and always had kind words for me. You have done so much for my family and I only hope that God will help the pain ease soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all.
