James Saur Obituary

SAUR, James Mr. James Donald Saur, age 75, of North Charleston, SC, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. The family of Mr. Saur will be accepting visitors at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, from 2:00 until 4:00 on Sunday, September 2. All funeral and burial services will be private. Mr. James Saur was born on July 7, 1932 in Queens, Long Island NY to Mr. Peter Michael Saur and Mrs. Emma Josephine Connor Saur. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed as a chauffeur in the state of New York for over 35 years. Mr. Saur attended St. Thomas Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include one daughter, Janice Bartley, and her husband William, of Hopachong, NJ; one son Donald Saur of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Donald Saur, Jr., and Joseph Saur of Queens, NY, and Brittnie Bartley and Billy Bartley of Hopachong, NJ. Mr. Saur was preceded in death by his son, Karl Saur. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or memorials may be made in Mr. Saur's name to The National Kidney Foundation of South Carolina.
