James Rudd Ridgeville, SC - James Allen Rudd, 82, of Ridgeville, husband of Frances Maxine Rudd, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. The family will receive friends at James A. Dyal Funeral Home from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock on Tuesday, May 24th. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at 11 o'clock at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road Summerville, SC 29485. Mr. Rudd was born on April 13, 1940 in Givhans to the late Leon and Leila Branton Rudd. Mr. Rudd retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard, but his true passion and vocation was farming his land in Ridgeville and raising black angus cows. In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include one son; James Allen "Jamie" Rudd, II (Erica) of Ridgeville, five grandchildren; Brittany, Grace, and Haley Rudd of St. George, and Jay and Owen Rudd of Ridgeville; one great-grandchild, Jaxson Childers; one sister, Patsy Rudd Murray of Lebanon; and one brother, JoNo Rudd of Summerville.
