Dear Marilyn and family:
We just received Mike's letter telling us about Jim. I want you all to know just how saddened we are for his passing. As you know Jim and I grew up together and he was always one of my favorite cousins. I have so many wonderful memories of him and of all of you from our days in California. May God bless you all as you remember him with love.

Dear Marilyn,
Our hearts go out to you and the family. Jim hired me in 1964 in Bluffton and was always wonderful to me. Beverly and I have nothing but wonderful memories of Jim. He made major contributions to Corning and helped a lot of people along the way. We will miss him.

Jim was my mentor when I first became a volunteer at the Yorktown. We'll all miss him, but I've mentored many other volunteers, and in that way--passing his knowledge and kindness on to others--Jim is never very far away.

Marilyn, Jeanne and I were already packed for an overnight trip to Mt. Pleasant to attend Jim's service. But the weather reports have made me change my mind. However we will be there in spirit and our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Dear Marilyn and Family; Alice and I send our prayers and sincere condolences to you and the family. Jim will be greatly missed by all that worked with him at Corning and especially all of us in the Industrial Relations "Road Gang". He was always there for and with us. Like brothers for many years. We'll miss being with you at the Service, but want you to know it will be a hard day for all of us, but we are there in Spirit. Our Love and Prayers to all. Alice & Mike Palatas

Mrs. Roggow my heart is with you and your family in this time of need. He often referred to me as warms hands and that was our joke when he came to see us. He will be missed a lot. Wanda Wallace, Hollings Cancer Center

For Marilyn. We were sad to learn of Jim's death. You were both good neighbors and friends for many years, and we will miss him. I really enjoyed working with Jim as a volunteer and docent at the USS Yorktown where we shared muchf fun, and some frustration. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mickey and Pete Gibson, Peachtree City, GA.

Our condolences to the family. Knew Jim as a fellow volunteer at Patriots Point. I enjoyed working with him during the years that he contributed. May he rest in peace, and God bless his family. Hank Siegfried and Ann Siegfried

I knew Jim, only briefly, as we shared volunteer duties aboard the Yorktown, but will always remember the friendly greeting, relaxed demeanor, and his outstanding sense of humor. He was an excellent ambassador for Patriots Point, and I know he will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the family. God Speed Jim.

This is the saddest day for me. Jim was indeed one of the best friends that I ever had and one of the finest men that I ever knew. My heart goes out to Marilyn and the rest of Jim's loved ones. Jeanne and I have many fond memories of good times with Jim & Marilyn.
