James Rhodes Obituary

RHODES, James RIDGEVILLE - Mr. James Franklin "Jim" Rhodes, 73, of Ridgeville, died Friday, April 27, 207 in a North Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday at Avinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Blackwell and Rev. Joyce Hendry officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill UMC Cemetery. Mr. Rhodes was born in Martinsville, Virginia, a son of the late Posey Franklin Rhodes and Gladys Hundley Rhodes. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge Military Academy and attended North Carolina State University. Mr. Rhodes served in the Signal Corps of the Army during the Korean War and was a retired millwright from Fluor Daniles Construction Co. He was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church and was a Mason. Surviving are daughters, Becky Fagen of Waccabac, NY, Carolyn Casner of Fleetwood, PA., and Beth Stewart of Moorestown, NJ; a son, David Rhodes of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Barbara Earnes of Lynchburg, VA; and eight grandchildren.
