James L. Poston CROSS, SC - James Leo Poston, 50, of Cross, SC, former owner and operator of Southeastern Pest Control & Plumbing, died Monday afternoon in a North Charleston hospital. His funeral will be 7:00 PM Thursday evening, October 9, 2014, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 PM until the hour of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 2711 Middleburg Dr., Kittrell Center, Ste. 110, Columbia, SC 29204, or to the American Heart Assoc., Memorials Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058. Mr. Poston was born September 29, 1964, in Charleston, SC, a son of William Eugene Poston and Louisa Sfreddo Poston. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Seacoast Church. He enjoyed gardening, decorating, and racing, but most of all, he liked traveling and spending time in the mountains. Mr. Poston dearly loved his pets, Toby and Ally. Surviving are, his wife, Stephanie Elmore Poston; a daughter, Hannah Elkins of Cross; a son, Dalton Curry of Cross; two step-sons, Matthew and Kevin Elkins, both of Goose Creek; three sisters, Evelyn Simison and her husband, Quinton, of Marion, AK, Laraine Singletary and her husband, Charles, of Sandridge, and Laurie Johnson and her husband, Frederick, of Moncks Corner; and two brothers, Darrell Poston and his fiance;e, Rae Beth Fultz, of Cross, and Michael Poston and his wife, Karen, of Sandridge.
