James Pearce Obituary

PEARCE, James Mr. James Allen Pearce, age 70 of Jackson, GA passed away November 27, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Ottawa County, OK to the late Leonard Francis and Elsie Betterton Pearce. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Allen Pearce and his Mom, Thelma Pearce. He was retired from Georgia Pacific and was of the Baptist faith. He was a lifetime member of the Lebanon-Brownsville Masonic Lodge # 44, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed Western movies and traveling. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, and Papa to his granddaughters and great grandsons. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ward Pearce; son, James Francis (Cecilia) Pearce of St. Stephen, SC; granddaughters, Katie and Jordan Pearce, Ashley (David)Poston; great grandsons, Bryce and Pearce Poston; sisters, Beverly Kelly of Medford, OR, Barbara (Joyce Newman) Pearce of Vancouver, WA; beloved step children, Margaret Love-Cawthon (Wally), Noel (Kelly) Love, Kait Love, Merritt (Kevin) Ramsaur and Aynsley Ramsaur; nieces and nephews, Pam, Terry, Molly, and Tyler and aunts, uncles, cousins, and wonderful friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Lane Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow at McDonough City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service.
