Looky Here Bubba! I will always remember that! James Owens was my First Sergeant in the 527th MP Company in Wiesbaden Germany in 84/85. I was a Platoon Sergeant in Darmstadt and he lasted about a year before moving to Stuttgart when he found out he was getting promoted. I had 7 First Sergeants in 3 years there and 6 of them looked for ways of getting out of the job. Owens looked for ways to train the troops to accomplish their war mission. He was good people. Never saw him after 84 but think about him lots! Always said Looky Here Bubba in that South Carolina twang! Thanks James Owens for all you did on this earth!

I am so sorry for your family's loss. Mr Owens was truly "that guy" that people strive to be. It was such an honor to get to know him over this past year. We got to know him in the infusion suite. It was our privilege to help with his care. However, it was truly a blessing to become his friend. That smile, that would light up a room, will surely be missed. Prayers to his family and friends.

I so wanted to get to know Him. The talk we had when we met had meant so much to me. My Heart is broken and I will always remember that day.
Good Bye and rest in peace.
