Deacon James Mitchell Adams Run, SC - The relatives and friends of Deacon James Mitchell are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Old Ashley Baptist Association Center, 3275 Old Pond Road, Johns Island, SC. Interment - Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 5629 Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run, SC. A public viewing will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the mortuary. Deacon Mitchell is survived by his wife, Susie Mitchell; his children: Karen Oliver (Andrew), Jennifer Mitchell, Katisha Mitchell (Alvin), Shae Gadson (Joshua), Dominick McCanick, and Benjamin Heyward; grandchildren: Andrew Oliver, Jr., Troy Sanders, Jr., Savannah Mitchell, Jovonne Matthews, Ashlie Sanders, Jahiem Davis, Dominick Davis, Nevaeh Davis, London Davis, and Kimberely Myers; one great-granddaughter, Khloe Oliver; two brothers: Deacon William Mitchell and Reverend Doctor Charles Mitchell (Reverend Doctor Gloria); two sisters: Gloria Mitchell and Minister Magdalene Glover (Reverend Charles); sisters-in-law: Mable Gregory (Rufus), Carrie Smalls, Patrice Rice, Albrenda Mitchell, Albertha Carroll, and Jerilee Mitchell; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Heyward; best friend, George Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones who shared in the love and legacy of James life. James was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Margaret Mitchell; and brothers: Elijah Mitchell, Arthur Lee Mitchell, Sr., and Roosevelt Mitchell.
