James was a good man with great intentions. His infectious smile and pride in his Son´s accomplishments made you proud for him. The man I knew you could always count on to have a cigar in his hand, willing to share one with you, and speak a kind word of encouragement to brighten your day. He never forgot to ask how I was and how my family was doing, and we got to see his joy when his son became an NBA champ. I and all his cigar lounge family will miss him.

James was one of my best friends. I met him when he came into my karate school with bunch of swag left over from Khris´ basketball Camp. We became good friends and shared many good times and conversations He loves his family, loved being a dad and appreciated every moment in life. He became friends with my husband and we all enjoyed many fun nights, talks about life, and good times. We were so excited to have him move in as our neighborhood just a bit ago. The last conversation we had walking to the mailbox he shared an update on his health and we prayed A beautiful soul is in heaven. I´m so thankful for having met James and to call him a friend.

I did not personally meet James but know that he was a special person to have raised and supported his children to be the wonders that they have become. Relive your special memories in the days ahead and he will always hold your hand through life.
