James "Jim" T. McLaughlin Summerville - James "Jim" T. McLaughlin, 86, of Summerville, husband of Anabel Rockwood McLaughlin, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at The Village at Summerville. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Avenue, Summerville, followed by a meet and greet at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holt International, PO Box 2880, Eugene, OR 97402 or the Chosen Ministry, c/o Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483. Jim was born April 5, 1935 in Warrendale, PA, son of the late Hiram E. McLaughlin and Jean McLaughlin. Jim served in the US Army. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church, where he was very active. He was a member of Steamfitters Local #449. Jim was retired from Lindsey Refrigeration. He enjoyed NASCAR and local races. Jim volunteered at the Chosen Mission Project and Erie City Mission after retirement. Survivors include his wife, Anabel; two daughters: Susan Jane Kirk of SC and Sandra Jean Maylock (Eugene) of SC; grandchildren: Cliff Shaw (Rachael) of FL, Mat Shaw of TX and Devin Kirk of AZ; step-grandchildren: Gabrielle Maylock of NH and Gavin Maylock of FL and one great-grandchild: Jacob James Shaw; one brother and two sisters: Richard S. McLaughlin, Lois Jane Anderson and Peggy Olson (David) and brother & sister-in-law: Charles and Joan Rockwood and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter: Rebecca "Becky" Shaw.
