To the Jim Marable Family, I was saddened to learn of Jim's recent passing. Jim was a top professional and a sincere mentor. I worked with Jim at Eastern in the 60's and later in the 80's at Simons Eastern until he retired.

To Jim's family: I first knew Jim in the early 1960s at the original Eastern Engineering Co. in Atlanta and Greenville, SC, and worked with him for many years following at Simons Eastern. He was always the epitome of the professional engineer, and was respected and admired by his peers as well as those of us that were new to the business and learning the ropes. I note with sadness his passing and offer my condolences to his family and friends.

I worked for Jim at Simons in Decatur, GA. He was a friend and mentor in business and life. He set goals for me and helped me reach them. He was a very knowledgeable civil and structural engineer. I will never forget his kindness and quick wit. I'm grateful for his help, thankful to have know him, and extend my deepest sympathies to the family.
