Lyn, we were saddened to hear of Jim's passing. You meet people in your life very rarely that have lasting impact and you remember with so much fondness, but Jim was one of those people. His moving to mountain and starting his adventure in a camper made for lively discussion in Butch's garage. He soon won us over with his sweet smile and Charleston draw. We have always been quick when visiting in the garage to ask where's Jim and how is he doing. It may seem odd, but our family says "thank you" for sharing him with us. We will miss him as golf season is starting and always when Clemson plays, but most of all in the everyday happenings on the mountain. We will be praying for you in the days to come. I am quite sure Jim is very proud of how you took care of him.

Please accept my condolences. In the brief time I knew Mr. Liston, he was very kind and nice to me, as was Mrs. Liston.

Mr.Liston..Wow,I truly do not know where to start. You gave me my start at SCE&G and you kept that "watchful" eye on me through the years in good times and tough . There are so many memories that I can just sit and recall. God bless you my special friend, you were truly the best and I will never forget what it meant to be able to answer the radio when I would hear "1002 to Charleston" Godspeed..

Jim, although I didn't see you often, I will miss your warm, smiling face. I will miss seeing your car at Butch's house with JuneBug in tow. Usually, you guys were watching the I-man or whipping up a batch of fresh salsa. Every time I see mountain laurel, I think of you and always will. You were one of the good, sensible guys that seem to be in short supply these days. Your daughter is a real "jewel". What a lovely, warm person she is! Thankyou for the support you gave me when Rick was sick and passed on. I will always remember you. Thankyou for loving the mountain where we all live. With you around life seemed better! Tell Rick when you see him that his wife says "Hello".
