James Krofta Summerville - James "Jim" Martin Krofta, 94, of Summerville, husband of Newana Krofta, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11 o'clock at Summerville Presbyterian Church, located at 407 S Laurel Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Jim was born on March 11, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, PA the son of the late Martin and Mary Krofta. After high school graduation he attended Indiana University Pennsylvania and graduated with degree in Education. He served his country in the U.S Navy and played the saxophone and clarinet on an air carrier. He married his wife Newana, in 1953 and had one son.
