James Kielczewski Obituary
James "Jim" Kielczewski, age 75, of the Grand Haven Community in Romeoville, Ill., at rest, passed suddenly, on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at his home. He was born April 15, 1939, in Erie, Pa., the son of the late John and Mary Kielczewski.
He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene, loving father of Kelly (David) Hillman, Tracy (the late Jim) Kacpura and John (Lynette) Kielczewski, cherished grandfather of Brittany, Ashley and Kaitlyn Hillman, Liz and Emily Kacpura, Mari and James Kielczewski.
Jim graduated from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., Class of 1961. He served in the US Marines and retired from the F.D.I.C. in 1995, after a 30-plus year career. He was a member of St. Mary Immaculate Church, the Plainfield American Legion Post # 13 and was a Kentucky Colonel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heartland Blood Centers, (708) 342-9714. Visitation will be Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Road, Plainfield, Ill., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
