I have so many great memories with all of you that I can't even begin to put into words how much James will be missed by all who knew him . I was fortunate enough to have known him as a close friend and sort if a fatherly figure to us! I want you to know that our little town is feeling some of your grief since they have heard of his passing! I know I have had numerous calls since posting the obituary on my web page of friends asking me to tell you how sorry they are and what a fine man James was! We love you and call when you can!

Carol & family,
I am so truly sorry for your loss. James was one of a kind, a good ole boy, and I'm so blessed to be able to call him one of my dear friends! He was always ready to help when needed and would alwsys say. " just let me know what you want me to do Leslie and I'll do it". He had one speed, his own,and no matter how ugly the weather was or if he was running late, he walked the same pace and that was it, never in a hurry. We could also tell he was walking to his bus on the lot because he would twirl his keys the whole way. Twirl & catch, twirl & catch... It goes without ssying that I will miss him alot! I'm fortunate that I got to see him on his final day. I'm sure he's at the big rodeo & stock show in heaven. Love you Miss Carol

Carol and Family,
You are in our prayers. I was sorry to learm of James' death but find comfort in knowing he is with our Lord. James and I always enjoyed our times together at the Windy Ryon Roping and the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering. We shared strong sentiment for the ranching way of life. James was the kind of man that would be there if you needed him and asked nothing in return. He enriched the lives of all who knew him. I will miss him until I see him on the other side of the river.

Where do I begin? James and your entire family were such a large part of my life when I was growing up. I always thought he was larger then life, but such a gentle soul. Like you Carol, he treated me like a daughter and I've always thought of Jamey and Cara as my brother and sister, since I had no siblings. I have so many amazing memories of all the times we shared together and all the things we did. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time and beyond. Love and Hugs!!

Gone but never forgotten.....James was a wonderful person. We went to church together, where I also met his parents who were wonderful Christians...such examples! Always a gentleman. You, Carol and the entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.
