James Hoban Obituary

James Anthony Hoban DANIEL ISLAND - James Anthony Hoban entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2022 with family at his side. He was 85 years old. James - or Jim, as he was known to friends - was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends whether at a car show, on the annual Outer Banks vacation, playing games around the kitchen table, or cooking meals for holiday gatherings. He will be remembered for always placing family first, being an exceptional storyteller, and having a kind and loving heart. Jim was the son of the late James M. Hoban and Mary E. Hoban. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia A. Hoban. He leaves to cherish precious memories his three children: James M. Hoban of Jacksonville, FL; Bridget M. Willis of Charleston, SC; and Kathleen A. Leen of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his brother, Thomas G. Hoban of New Wilmington, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jim requested a private family service at home.
