I was searching you on Facebook when I came across your tragic news in the Post & Courier. I am so sorry for your loss. May you take comfort now in the same kindness that you have always extended to all around you. Your family was a big part of the fond memories we have from our life in Summerville. Our thoughts and prayers to your entire family.

I knew Randy in the late 1970s and early 1980s when he was chief radio technician for Telpage in North Charleston. I was a sales rep for Motorola at the time. I always thought highly of Randy who seemed a sort of quiet type when you first met him, but somebody you instantly respected because he knew his field inside and out and loved it. He was a very thorough, competent and creative individual and everybody I know who knew him liked him. It didn't surprise me he was also entrepreneurial. I called him a couple times over the years with technical questions and he always took time to help. He was truly a great guy and I am so sorry for your loss.

Shellie, My heart is heavy for you and the boys. Words can not describe how it feels. Hang in there and relie on those closest to you. You know Cammy met him with a smile and he got the grand tour. Love ya, Barry

shelly, Im sorry for your loss, I didn't know Mr.Randy that well but what I did know was he was a very nice man.

Jonathan said that it will be ok because he is with God and will take care of him for you.

Shellie, James and Aaron - Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Randy was an incredible person, whom many were blessed to call friend. Seems so short ago that we were all playing roller hockey in the Walmart parking lot and this guy, with his two young sons, was playing in quads. Doing what he loved with those he loved. He will be missed, but also he will be remembered by many whose life he has forever touched.

Shellie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how you must feel - peace knowing Randy is with God, yet anxious because you are left alone. I was very shocked and sad to hear about my friend Randy on Wednesday. He was simply a good man and I am proud to say I was friends with over the past few years. It was always nice to meet up with Randy when the two of you would go to Oil City. The last time was at the hamfest in Butler. Randy often talked about his family and I know he loved you all. Karen and I send our thoughts and prayers to you in this time of mourning.

We extend our deepest condolences to you. We are here for you for as much as and as long as you need us. The outpouring of love and support by the Ham community worldwide on SJC's website serves as testimony, to those of us unfamiliar with the intricacies of Hams and contesting, as to why he was so passionate about it. As I've gotten to know Randy over the past couple of years, I feel that, among his many exemplary characteristics, most notable to me was his sincere love of & devotion to his family. Randy was an absolute awesome individual and will be missed. I pray that God will comfort each of you as only He can.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say... but first of all, to let you know that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

I need you here badly; you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores out of sight, God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years... because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.

One thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er; I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
